Biography

Aaron McKenney serves as Associate General Counsel at McKenna & Associates, LLC, where he provides legal counsel and assists with regulatory compliance work. He contributes advisory insights on strategy, execution, and investment opportunities. Previously, Aaron worked as an Associate at Cooley LLP, focusing on advising clients in business transactions, venture capital financing, capital market sales, regulatory filings, and mergers and acquisitions, with a particular emphasis on technology, healthcare, and security industries. Aaron is a Lieutenant Colonel in the Army Reserve and a Special Forces officer, having served in various tactical, operational, and strategic roles. His military assignments include serving as Team Leader and Operations Officer, as well as commanding an Underwater Operations unit. Aaron has deployed overseas for missions such as Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Inherent Resolve. Academically, he holds a JD from the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School, an MBA from the Wharton School, and a BS from the United States Military Academy at West Point. He has completed an internship at the United States Attorney’s Office (Eastern District of Pennsylvania) where he provided support as an accredited attorney for disabled veterans. In addition to his professional work, Aaron is an avid outdoorsman, a Karate Black Belt, and a Religious Education Catechist.
