Aaron Tsang is a Canadian composer and producer known for his work in original music, sound design, and post-production audio across a hundred titles for videogames, commercials, television shows, and films. His recent projects include sound design for Bravo Niagara!’s multimedia ballet “Kimiko’s Pearl,” and he has worked closely with Meyer Sound Labs employing immersive audio setups for clients such as Cirque Du Soleil and Ed Sheeran. Tsang has contributed to the Royal Winnipeg Ballet’s “Going Home Star – Truth and Reconciliation,” which won a Juno Award for “Classical Album of the Year” in 2017. He was commissioned by the University of Toronto to compose an orchestral overture for the inauguration of their “Defy Gravity” campaign, and his music has been featured in yearly convocations at the university. Tsang has also composed music for 30 video game titles, including notable franchises such as Shrek, Ghostbusters, and Kim Kardashian: Hollywood, which has 145 million global downloads. His graphic novel-style game “Shuyan Saga” received a nomination for the Canadian Screen Awards for “Best Original Interactive Production Digital Media” in 2018. He teaches in the Music Industry & Technology program at the University of Toronto Scarborough's Department of Arts, Culture, and Media and the Faculty of Music in the Music Technology and Digital Media Composition departments.
