Biography

Aaron Yarmoshuk is an Adjunct Lecturer at the Dalla Lana School of Public Health, where he leverages over 20 years of professional experience in academia, not-for-profit, and private sectors. His primary research focuses on strengthening science capacity, particularly in institutions within sub-Saharan Africa. He has extensive experience in identifying and developing monitoring and evaluating projects and programs that enhance capacity strengthening, community development, public health, and higher education internationalization. Prior to his consulting work, Aaron dedicated 10 years in various research development and management roles in academia and spent 7 years in the international development sector. His work has involved managing strategic partnerships among individuals, communities, governments, NGOs, and donor agencies, providing him with a unique insight into the challenges of designing and implementing diverse development activities. He holds a PhD from the School of Public Health at the University of the Western Cape in South Africa, an M.Sc. from the London School of Economics and Political Science in the United Kingdom, and a B.A. (Honours) from Dalhousie University in Canada.
