Biography

Aarthi Vadde is an E. Blake Byrne Associate Professor at Duke University, focusing on 20th-21st century Global Anglophone literature. Her research broadly encompasses the intersection of literary history and emerging technologies, particularly how internet culture influences authorship and narrative forms. Vadde is currently working on a forthcoming book titled 'Platform: Internet Changed Twenty-First Century Literature', which aims to fill a gap in the literary computing history by examining the interplay between literary ideas and web-based literacies. Her scholarly contributions include articles published in prominent journals such as Pmla and Mfs Modern Fiction Studies, as well as participation in various initiatives blending literature with science and society.
