Biography

Aashish Srivastava is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Business Law and Taxation at Monash University, specializing in the intersection of law and technology. His academic journey began with a Bachelor of Science and an LL.B. diploma in Cyber Law from India, culminating in a PhD from Monash University. His research focuses on electronic signatures, e-commerce law, artificial intelligence, and data protection, and he has published extensively in recognized law journals, including the Journal of Business Law and the International Journal of Law and Information Technology. With over ten years of experience in teaching commercial law and marketing law to business students at Monash Business School, he is dedicated to mentoring future legal scholars, particularly in the realms of cybersecurity and legal issues surrounding cyberbullying and hazing. Srivastava has served as an expert witness in legal cases, including a notable case in the State of Georgia (USA) concerning electronic signatures.
