Biography

Abbas Dashtimanesh is an Assistant Professor at KTH Royal Institute of Technology, specializing in ship hydromechanics. His research focuses on resistance, seakeeping, and maneuvering, with an emphasis on green ship design and the implementation of emerging technologies in hydrodynamic ship design. He is also a member of the management committee for the European initiative COST Action 'Decarbonising Waterborne Transportation (DeWaTra)', which focuses on hydrodynamic hull design and energy-efficient performance. Dashtimanesh teaches several courses related to Naval Architecture, including Advanced Topics in Naval Architecture and Modelling Ship’s Propulsion and Maneuvering, where he serves as an examiner and teacher respectively.
