Dr. Abdollah Jalilian

Biography

Abdollah Jalilian received his PhD in Statistics from SBU, Iran, in 2011. Between 2012 and 2023, he worked as an Assistant and Associate Professor at Razi University, Iran. Currently, he is a Lecturer in the Department of Statistics at the University of Glasgow, having joined the institution in July 2025. His research focuses on developing and applying statistical methods to spatial and spatio-temporal data, with a particular interest in point process models, geostatistics, and disease mapping across various applications including epidemiology, ecology, and environmental seismology. He also collaborates on the statistical computing and software development essential for analyzing complex data.
