Dr. Abhijeet Danve

Biography

Abhijeet Danve is an Associate Professor of Rheumatology at Yale School of Medicine, specializing in the treatment of autoimmune rheumatic diseases such as spondyloarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, gout, lupus, and vasculitis. He completed his medical education in Mumbai, India, and underwent residency at New York Medical College/Metropolitan Hospital Center. He further pursued a clinical Rheumatology fellowship at Oregon Health & Science University and a research fellowship at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Dr. Danve is board certified in internal medicine and rheumatology and possesses certification in musculoskeletal ultrasound from the American College of Rheumatology. He conducts clinical and translational research focused on the early diagnosis of axial spondyloarthritis and developing novel screening tools. He has received several awards for his contributions to the field, including the Marshall J. Schiff Fellowship Award and the Distinguished Fellow Award from the American College of Rheumatology. He is actively involved in professional organizations such as SPARTAN and GRAPPA and enjoys teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.
