Biography

Abigail Azari is an Assistant Professor jointly appointed in the Departments of Physics and Electrical & Computer Engineering at the University of Alberta, Canada. She holds a PhD in Atmospheric, Oceanic and Space Science from the University of Michigan, where she was awarded several prestigious fellowships including the NSF Graduate Research Fellowship and the NASA Earth Space Science Fellowship. She has also contributed to science policy as a Fellow at the IDA Science and Technology Policy Institute. Azari's teaching includes courses on upper atmosphere space physics, where she covers fundamental plasma phenomena and their interaction with terrestrial systems.
