Biography

Abigail Batchelder is an Associate Professor at Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine. With a background in clinical health psychology and public health, she is dedicated to directing the new Behavioral Health Equity Program and serves as the Associate Vice Chair of Psychology. Dr. Batchelder is also an Affiliated Investigator at Fenway Health Community Health Center. She has been awarded 14 grants as a principal investigator, actively holding NIH grants such as R01 and R34. Dr. Batchelder’s research focuses on identifying and implementing evidence-based interventions for underserved populations, addressing the psycho-behavioral health needs of vulnerable groups including people living with HIV and substance use disorders, as well as sexual and gender minority individuals, with the goal of enhancing behavioral health equity.
