Biography

Abraham Krikhely is a minimally invasive surgeon specializing in robotic, laparoscopic, and endoscopic approaches to metabolic weight loss surgery, foregut surgery, and general surgery. He obtained his undergraduate degree from NYU Stern School of Business and his medical degree from NYU School of Medicine. Dr. Krikhely completed his residency training in General Surgery at New York University Medical Center and further specialized with a fellowship in Bariatric and Minimally Invasive Surgery at Montefiore Medical Center. Currently, he is an Assistant Professor at Columbia University, where he has been a key figure in the development of the robotic bariatric surgery program and has actively chaired its robotic surgery committee. He has authored numerous textbook chapters on topics related to bariatric surgery and has lectured extensively, proctoring other surgeons in the use of robotic surgery techniques. His clinical expertise encompasses a wide range of procedures including gastric bypass, laparoscopic anti-reflux surgery, and minimally invasive approaches to hernia repair and obesity treatment.
