Biography

Abraham Stroock completed his bachelor's degree in Physics at Cornell University and spent several years in France. He earned a master's degree in Solid State Physics from the University of Paris VI and XI before pursuing his PhD in Chemistry at Harvard University under George Whitesides. In winter 2003, he joined the School of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at Cornell University as an Assistant Professor. Throughout his career, he has received numerous accolades including the Henry Camille Dreyfus New Faculty Award (2003), the Office of Naval Research Young Investigator Award (2004), and the NSF CAREER Award (2008). His work has been recognized in MIT Technology Review’s TR35 list of top innovators under 35 in 2007.
