Abu Ahmed, MD, is a Clinical Assistant Professor specializing in Hematology and Medical Oncology at NYU Langone Health. With over 20 years of experience in the field, he focuses on treating a wide range of cancers, including those of the gastrointestinal tract, lung, breast, colon, and lymphomas, and manages noncancerous blood disorders. He has honed his expertise in solid organ and blood cancers, employing the latest advancements in chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and targeted treatments to achieve the best possible outcomes for his patients. Dr. Ahmed's commitment to proactive healthcare engagement is evident through his dedication to expanding his knowledge and staying current with medical advancements. His journey in medicine has taken him across several countries, including Bangladesh, the United Kingdom, Australia, and the United States, providing him with a diverse training background that enriches his practice. Passionate about oncology, Dr. Ahmed's personal experiences, particularly caring for his younger sister diagnosed with terminal cancer, have profoundly influenced his determination to advance cancer therapy knowledge and skills. He has completed his MD at Dhaka Medical College and furthered his training through a fellowship at NYU Hospitals Center in Hematology/Oncology.
