Biography

Achilleas Savva received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in Greece in 2010, followed by a PhD in Materials Science Engineering from Cyprus University of Technology in 2014. His doctoral research focused on organic optoelectronics and renewable energy. In 2017, he joined Professor Sahika Inal’s group at KAUST, Saudi Arabia, as a postdoctoral researcher where he expanded his research in organic bioelectronics. In 2019, he moved to the University of Cambridge under Professor Róisín Owens, securing the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellowship and developed novel organic bioelectronic devices for biosensors and light-sensitive devices for photo-stimulation of neurons. Currently, he holds a position as an Assistant Professor in the Bioelectronics group at Delft University of Technology, focusing on innovative approaches in the design and application of bioelectronics.
