Biography

Ad Vingerhoets is a psychologist and Emeritus Professor at Tilburg University, where he is affiliated with the Department of Medical and Clinical Psychology. Vingerhoets has authored a monograph titled 'Why Humans Weep: Unraveling the Mysteries of Tears,' published by Oxford University Press, and is currently working on a popular book about adult crying, in collaboration with Dr. Naomi Weinshenker, set to be published by Johns Hopkins University Press in 2026.
