Dr. Ada Fenick

Biography

Ada M. Fenick, MD, is a professor in the Department of Pediatrics at Yale School of Medicine, specializing in General Pediatrics. She completed her undergraduate medical education at the University of Michigan, followed by a categorical pediatric residency at Weill Cornell/NY Medical Center. Dr. Fenick has a substantial practical experience in private practice and has been actively engaged in educational scholarship. She serves as the co-editor of the Yale Primary Care Pediatrics Curriculum and holds the position of associate director for the Pediatrics primary care component of the Biopsychosocial Approach to Health. Additionally, Dr. Fenick is a medical student coach in medical education and has been honored to serve as the Medical Director at Yale New Haven Hospital’s School Based Health Centers. Her research focuses on pediatric primary care, with interests in breastfeeding, obesity, and the medical education of primary care physicians. Dr. Fenick is dedicated to advocating for economically disadvantaged patients, ensuring their healthy development and growth into productive adults. She aims to address the impacts of toxic stress on children's health and development, believing in building strong doctor-patient relationships by understanding patients' concerns.
