Dr. Adam Carter

Biography

Adam W. Carter, MD, is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Michigan Medical School, specializing in Anesthesiology. He also serves as the Assistant Medical Director of Anesthesiology within the medical school. Dr. Carter's educational background includes a Bachelor of Science from the University of Florida in 2007, an MD from the University of Florida School of Medicine in 2011, and he completed his Anesthesiology residency at the University of Michigan–Ann Arbor in 2015, followed by a Critical Care fellowship in 2016. His research interests lie in critical care and anesthesiology, where he has published articles such as a retrospective database study on factors associated with the occurrence and severity of acute kidney injury in patients with sepsis, published in the Journal of Critical Care in December 2022.
