Dr. Adam De Havenon

Biography

Adam de Havenon is an Associate Professor of Neurology with extensive training and experience in vascular neurology. He received his Bachelor of Arts in American Studies from Yale University in 2001 and his medical degree from Brown Medical School in 2009. After completing a neurology residency at the University of Utah in 2013, he pursued a fellowship in vascular neurology at the University of Washington, finishing in 2014. He has a robust clinical practice that focuses on acute stroke evaluation and treatment, with particular interests in intracranial atherosclerosis and optimizing secondary stroke prevention. Dr. de Havenon has published over 150 peer-reviewed articles and secured significant funding from leading institutions, including the National Institutes of Health. He is also involved in research aimed at enhancing patient care in vascular neurology and training future cerebrovascular researchers. In 2021, he established the de Havenon Lab at Yale to further empirical advancements in his field.
