Biography

Adam Klein is the Director of the Robert S. Strauss Center for International Security Law and a Senior Lecturer at Texas Law. His research primarily focuses on constitutional law, international law, national security law, and U.S. foreign relations law. He holds a JD from Columbia University and a BA from Northwestern University. Klein has previously served as a law clerk for Justice Antonin Scalia at the U.S. Supreme Court and for Judge Brett Kavanaugh at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit. Additionally, he has worked on national-security policy issues at the RAND Corporation and as part of the 9/11 Public Discourse Project, the non-profit that succeeded the 9/11 Commission. Klein is an International Affairs Fellow with the Council on Foreign Relations and has also been awarded a fellowship from the Robert Bosch Foundation in Berlin. He is fluent in German and French.
