Dr. Adam Laytin

Biography

Adam Laytin, MD, MPH, is an Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, and he also holds an appointment in Emergency Medicine. He completed his residency in Emergency Medicine at Oregon Health & Science University Hospital in 2018 and a fellowship in Surgical Critical Care at the University of Pennsylvania in 2019. His academic interests are focused on clinical outcomes in emergency critical care, particularly in low-resource settings, as well as epidemiology and global health related to trauma critical care. Dr. Laytin's extensive training includes a graduate degree in Public Health from the University of California at Berkeley and prior residency training in General Surgery at UCSF Medical Center. He is board-certified in Emergency Medicine and Surgical Critical Care, and he is affiliated with various hospitals within the Johns Hopkins network, including Johns Hopkins Hospital, Johns Hopkins Howard County Medical Center, and Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center. Dr. Laytin's work is characterized by a commitment to improving emergency medical services in diverse environments.
