Biography

Adam Lewkowitz is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine at Women & Infants Hospital, affiliated with the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. He was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona. Dr. Lewkowitz received his undergraduate degree in Spanish and Sociology from Amherst College before earning his medical degree from Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City. He completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of California, San Francisco, and went on to complete a fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at Washington University in St. Louis (Barnes-Jewish Hospital). Dr. Lewkowitz is board-certified in Maternal-Fetal Medicine. His research interests focus on postpartum health, with an emphasis on leveraging technology to improve health equity for women during pregnancy. He has published extensively in the areas of clinical epidemiology and obstetrics and is dedicated to educating medical students, residents, and fellows in clinical obstetrics and perinatology, as well as providing research mentorship.
