Adam Martin completed his PhD at the University of Western Australia in 2011 under Professor Colin Raston, specializing in supramolecular chemistry. His research interests include the structure-property relationships of short, self-assembling peptides and their application in designing biocompatible hydrogel scaffolds for tissue engineering to support sensitive primary neurons. Current projects include the development of 3D neuronal cell culture scaffolds, functionalization of hydrogels with ECM-ligating peptides, and controlling the temporal degradation of hydrogel scaffolds for biological profiling.
