Biography

Adam B. Murphy is a Clinical Teaching Fellow at the Federal Appellate Clinic and an Adjunct Professor of Clinical Law at New York University School of Law. He has a rich background as an Assistant Counsel with the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund, where he notably argued in the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court, successfully reversing a client's convictions. Adam co-founded the Washington Square Legal Services Bail Fund to assist individuals in securing their freedom. He has written op-eds addressing flaws in the criminal justice system. Adam graduated from New York University School of Law in 2017, where he received the Arthur Garfield Hays Fellowship and was honored with multiple awards, including the Vanderbilt Medal.
