Dr. Adam Ritz

Biography

Adam Ritz is a Professor in the Department of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Victoria. His research is primarily focused on theoretical physics, specifically in the areas of particle and astroparticle phenomenology. He is a member of the UVic Particle Theory Group, contributing to foundational questions in particle and astroparticle physics, including the nature of dark matter and the mechanism behind matter-antimatter asymmetry. His work utilizes quantum field theory to describe complex regimes and environments. Adam holds degrees from prestigious institutions, including a PhD from Imperial College London, an MSc from the University of Melbourne, and a BSc from the University of Tasmania. He has served in various academic roles, including as a Research Fellow and as an Associate Dean of Research (Acting), and has a notable academic history, supervising numerous graduate students and contributing to various theoretical discussions in his field.
