Biography

Adam Rule is an Assistant Professor at the Information School of the University of Wisconsin–Madison. His research primarily focuses on human-computer interaction, medical informatics, and human-centered data science. Rule completed his PhD in Cognitive Science at the University of California, San Diego in 2018. Prior to this, he earned a Master of Science degree in Human Centered Design & Engineering from the University of Washington in 2013 and a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign in 2011. His work has been published in prestigious journals, addressing topics such as the use of electronic health records among primary care physicians and user experience design. Rule teaches courses related to interaction design and user experience at the Information School.
