Biography

Adam Rusch is a teaching assistant professor at the School of Information Sciences at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. His research and teaching focus on the ways people use information and communications technology to organize groups and communities, as well as build new products and knowledge artifacts. Rusch is particularly active in researching blockchain governance and public engagement within blockchain communities and educational organizations. Prior to joining the faculty full-time, he taught as an adjunct at the iSchool and worked as an e-learning specialist in the College of Education, where he administered the learning management system and consulted with instructors on available online tools. He holds a PhD in Education Policy and Organization Leadership, an MS in Library Information Science, and an MA in Communication from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, along with a Bachelor of Arts from Purdue University, graduating from the Brian Lamb School of Communication.
