Biography

Adam Skolnick completed a combined Bachelor of Arts and Doctor of Medicine (BA-MD) program at Brown University. He honed his skills at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, a major teaching hospital affiliated with Harvard Medical School, where he completed his internship and residency in internal medicine. Specialty training in cardiovascular disease was completed at NYU Langone Medical Center, where he was named Fellow of the Year twice and served as Chief Cardiology Fellow. Dr. Skolnick directs the cardiovascular pathophysiology course at NYU Grossman School of Medicine and is actively involved in the echocardiography laboratory at NYU Langone Health. He has received numerous accolades, including being named Teacher of the Year in 2013 and receiving NYU Distinguished Teaching Awards in 2016 and 2021. Dr. Skolnick is board-certified in general cardiology, internal medicine, echocardiography, and nuclear cardiology, and is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and the American Heart Association. He has published over 50 articles in peer-reviewed journals and is a recognized speaker in his field. His dedication to patient care and effective communication is reflected in his numerous honors and his role in educating future physicians.
