Dr. Adam Weiss

Biography

Adam Weiss is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Carleton University, specializing in Transportation Engineering. He received both his Bachelor of Applied Science and Master of Applied Science degrees from the University of Toronto, followed by a Doctorate. His research interests lie in Travel Demand Modelling, Stated Preference Survey Development, Choice Modelling, Behavioural Economics, Econometric Modelling, and Transportation Engineering. Additionally, he focuses on emerging mobility technologies and their implications in modern transportation systems. Prof. Weiss is actively involved in teaching diverse courses related to civil engineering, including courses on Urban Transportation, Urban Systems, and foundational engineering disciplines. He is committed to developing the next generation of engineers through a combination of theoretical knowledge and practical application in the field. His work contributes to the understanding and advancement of transportation systems in urban settings, proving crucial in adapting to the evolving challenges of mobility in contemporary society.
