Dr. Adam Williams

Biography

Adam Richard Williams is an Associate Professor at the Department of Surgery at Duke University. He specializes in advanced aortic endovascular surgery and has a robust background in cardiothoracic surgery. After obtaining his M.D. from the University of Miami, Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine, he completed multiple surgical residencies including chief resident positions at Jackson Memorial Hospital. His fellowship training also took place at Duke University, where he honed his skills in cardiothoracic surgery. Dr. Williams has been actively involved in research focused on gene therapy and sustainable cardiac surgery programs in Honduras. His dedication to education and improving surgical methods is demonstrated through his involvement with multiple awards and grants aimed at advancing cardiac surgery practices.
