Biography

In August 2023, Adam D. Wright joined the Department of Physics at the University of Warwick as an Assistant Professor. Before this role, he completed a postdoctoral fellowship in the Department of Chemistry at Princeton University from 2021 to 2023, focusing on gas-phase polaritons. Between 2015 and 2021, he was a PhD student and subsequently a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Physics at the University of Oxford, where he investigated the photophysics of metal halide perovskite solar cells. Adam earned his MRes in Plastic Electronic Materials from Imperial College London in 2015 and holds a BA and MSci degrees in Natural Sciences (Physics) from the University of Cambridge, obtained in 2014. His research interests encompass the optoelectronic properties of novel materials, exploring themes such as photophysical and nanoscale effects, charge-carrier dynamics, and polaritonic effects in the context of solar energy conversion. At Warwick, he leads a research group dedicated to understanding strong light-matter coupling and its impact on the optoelectronic properties of photovoltaic materials, with an aim to enhance solar cell efficiencies.
