Biography

Adebowale Adeniran is a seasoned surgical pathologist and cytopathologist, currently serving as a Professor at the Yale School of Medicine and the Director of Cytopathology and the Cytology Laboratory. He has also directed the Cytopathology Fellowship Program. Dr. Adeniran studied medicine at the University of Ibadan in Nigeria, completed his residency in anatomic and clinical pathology at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, and pursued fellowships in surgical pathology and cytopathology at the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center and Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, respectively. His research focuses on the clinical and molecular aspects of kidney and thyroid cancers. He has published over 130 manuscripts and book chapters, and has been involved with several peer-reviewed journals as a reviewer. Moreover, he is an editorial board member of Cancer Cytopathology Journal and a member of the education committee of the United States Canadian Academy of Pathology.
