Biography

Adebowale Adeniran is an experienced surgical pathologist and cytopathologist. He is currently the Director of Cytopathology and the Cytology Laboratory at Yale School of Medicine and also leads the Cytopathology Fellowship Program. Dr. Adeniran received his MD from the University of Ibadan in Nigeria and completed his residency in anatomic and clinical pathology at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. He further specialized in surgical pathology at the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center and in cytopathology at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. His research focuses on the clinico-pathologic and molecular aspects of kidney and thyroid cancers. He has authored over 130 manuscripts and book chapters, including contributions to esteemed works in diagnostic pathology. Dr. Adeniran actively serves on the education committee of the United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology and is involved in various professional committees related to clinical pathology. He has received multiple awards for his teaching excellence and contributions to pathology education.
