Biography

Adeel Abbasi, MD, ScM, is an Assistant Professor in the Medicine Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine at Brown University. He is the Associate Medical Director of the Adult Extracorporeal Life Support Program at Rhode Island Hospital. Dr. Abbasi's research focuses on leveraging bioinformatics techniques and machine learning to improve patient outcomes in critical care settings. His current studies concentrate on the prevention and management of complications in patients who are dependent on mechanical circulatory support, specifically those receiving extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO). Dr. Abbasi is also a Parker B. Francis Fellow for 2022-2025, sponsored by the CardioPulmonary Vascular Biology Center of Biomedical Research Excellence (CPVB COBRE) and the Advance Clinical Translational Research (Advance-CTR) Program.
