Dr. Adel Daoud

Biography

Adel Daoud is a Senior Associate Professor at the Institute of Analytical Sociology, Linköping University, and an Affiliated Associate Professor in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence in the Social Sciences at Chalmers University of Technology, Gothenburg, Sweden. His research focuses on the intersection of predictive analytics, machine learning, and sociology, particularly the dynamics of poverty and resource allocation in societies. Daoud has held prestigious academic positions at Harvard University, the Alan Turing Institute, and has extensive experience with notable institutions in the UK and Sweden, concentrating on the effects of socio-economic and political shocks on child poverty and well-being. His work innovatively employs methodologies such as machine learning and causal inference to explore population heterogeneities and their implications for health and social policies.
