Biography

Adele Perry is a distinguished professor and director of the Centre for Human Rights Research at the University of Manitoba, where she has been working since 2000. As a settler historian, she focuses on the histories of colonialism in northwestern North America during the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, actively engaging in transformative feminist and decolonizing scholarship. Her research interests include colonialism in Canada, gender studies, and water issues, reflecting an academic commitment to critical historical analysis and social justice.
