Biography

Aditi Gupta is a Senior Lecturer in Accounting & Financial Management at King's Business School, King's College London. She holds an MSc and PhD in Accounting & Finance from Lancaster University. Her research interests encompass a wide range of corporate governance topics, including executive compensation, pay disparities, board diversity, social capital, and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) issues, with a particular focus on corporate governance in China. Dr. Gupta has published articles in prominent academic journals such as the Corporate Governance: International Review, Journal of Accounting, Auditing & Finance, Accounting Business Research, and British Accounting Review. She serves as an ad-hoc referee for various academic journals and is a member of the editorial board for Corporate Board: Roles, Duties & Composition. Dr. Gupta's teaching has consistently received excellent evaluations, and she has been nominated for multiple King’s Education Awards, including the KBS Doctoral Supervisory Excellence Award in 2024. Additionally, she has previously held the position of Deputy Programme Director for the MSc in ESG Management and BSc in Business Management. Currently, she is the Widening Participation Lead at King’s Business School and is involved in promoting access and inclusivity within the institution. Dr. Gupta also manages consulting projects for the MSc in ESG Management and is currently accepting new PhD students.
