Biography

Aditya Viswanathan received his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Arizona State University in 2010, following an M.S. in 2008. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Communication Engineering from R.V. College of Engineering in Bangalore, India. He began his academic career as a Postdoctoral Scholar in the Computing Mathematical Sciences department at Caltech from 2010 to 2013 and then served as a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics at Michigan State University from 2013 to 2017. Currently, he is an Associate Professor at the University of Michigan-Dearborn. His research interests focus on applied computational harmonic analysis, signal processing, and numerical methods for large-scale scientific computation problems. He has contributed to several publications, including work on phase retrieval and concentration factors for jump detection. His teaching areas include Linear Algebra, Fourier Analysis, and Inverse Problems in Signal Processing and Numerical Analysis.
