Biography

Adom Getachew is a political theorist at the University of Chicago, specializing in history, political thought, theories of race, empire, and postcolonial political theory. He serves as the Interim Chair of the Department of Race, Diaspora, and Indigeneity. His scholarly work focuses on the intellectual and political histories of Africa and the Caribbean.
