Biography

Dr. Adrian Brown is an Associate Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the University of Toronto and serves as an Obstetrician-Gynaecologist at North York General Hospital. He graduated from the University of Toronto Medical School in 1990, where he was the Valedictorian. Dr. Brown undertook his residency training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, completing it in 1995. His professional interests include quality improvement and patient safety, and he has received numerous teaching awards at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. He is a founding member of the Southern Ontario Obstetrical Network (S.O.O.N.) and has contributed significantly to medical education through his role as the inaugural Director of Distributed Medical Education in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Toronto from 2007 to 2010. Additionally, Dr. Brown holds a Master's Certificate in Physician Leadership from the Schulich School of Business at York University and is passionate about enhancing teaching and learning in his field.
