Biography

Adrian Gardiner is a full-time lecturer in Information Technology Management. Prior to joining the Scheller College of Business for the fall 2019 semester, he served as an Associate Professor in the Department of Enterprise Systems and Analytics at Georgia Southern University. In that role, Adrian championed new programs in business analytics and was involved in delivering courses in areas such as SAP, business intelligence, advanced analytics, and database management. During his tenure at Georgia Southern University, he received numerous awards and recognitions for his contributions to teaching excellence and served as president of the Southern Association of Information Systems, along with various positions on the Southern AIS Executive Board. Before moving to Georgia Southern in 2003, Adrian was on the faculty of the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia, in the Department of Information Systems & Technology Management, where he earned his Ph.D. in Information Systems. He has also been a faculty member at the University of Wollongong and the Queensland University of Technology in Australia. Adrian has a background in accounting and has worked with Coopers & Lybrand. He holds a Master of Financial Management degree from the University of Queensland in Australia. His special interest lies in SAP education, and he is currently an SAP Certified Application Associate Consultant. Adrian is a member of the Australian Computer Society and has industry experience in banking, insurance, and consulting.
