Biography

Adrian Leach is a research fellow at the Centre for Environmental Policy, Imperial College London. His research focuses on the development and use of decision support tools, including simulation and cost-benefit assessment models, for managing pests and diseases in agriculture. His work encompasses a wide array of crops such as cotton in Egypt, cocoa in Costa Rica, coffee in India and Mexico, and vegetables in Malaysia and Tanzania. Currently, he is participating in the PRATIQUE project under the EC Framework 7, aimed at enhancing pest risk analysis methods. Adrian is actively engaged in research initiatives that involve genetic modifications to control diseases such as malaria and dengue through genetically modified mosquitoes.
