Biography

Adrián Lerner Patrón is a historian currently serving as a Philomathia Fellow at the Consortium Global South at the University of Cambridge. He has completed his BA Licenciatura at Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú, followed by an MA, MPhil, and PhD at Yale University. His academic focus centers on 'Ecologies of Place,' and he has been involved as a lecturer and research associate at the Free University of Berlin's Global History program. Currently on leave, he was a Princeton-Mellon Fellow in Urbanism and Environment at Princeton University. His research primarily addresses environmental, social, and political issues in Latin America from a global perspective. Lerner is in the process of finishing a book on urbanization in the Amazon rainforest, titled 'Jungle Cities.' His teaching experience includes Environmental History, Design, Historical Methods, and Urban History, encapsulating surveys of Modern Latin America and Global History.
