Dr. Adriana Bezerra Da Silva

Biography

Adriana Bezerra da Silva is a first-generation college graduate with a PhD and MA in Letters from the University of São Paulo (USP), Brazil. She has over eight years of experience teaching in higher education across both public and private institutions in Brazil and the United States. Adriana's research investigates the intersections of Latin American literature and the arts, with a particular focus on visual performance art from the 20th and 21st centuries. She is also interested in the effects of late academic literacy on the development of intellectual syntax and the (in)viability of creative processes in academic writing. In addition to her teaching and research endeavors, Adriana has experience as a translator, subtitler, editor, and proofreader for various social, academic, and artistic projects. Her creative writing includes short stories that have been published in literary anthologies in Brazil.
