Biography

Adriana Herrera, MD, is an Assistant Professor at Yale School of Medicine in the Department of Anesthesiology. She received her medical degree from Universidad del Valle, Colombia in 1996. Following this, she completed her residency in Anesthesia and a fellowship in Adult Cardiothoracic Anesthesia at Yale New Haven Hospital. Since joining the faculty in 2005, her clinical interests have focused on Thoracic Anesthesia, Vascular Anesthesia, and Obstetric Anesthesia. In addition, Dr. Herrera has served as the Associate Director of the Anesthesia Residency Program for 12 years, actively participating in the recruitment, mentoring, education of residents, and monitoring of fellowship placements, as well as contributing to curriculum development. She is board certified in Anesthesiology and maintains a commitment to education and clinical excellence.
