Biography

Adriana Dana Oprea is an Associate Professor of Anesthesiology at Yale School of Medicine. She holds a dual board certification in Internal Medicine and Anesthesiology and received her medical degree from Carol Davila University of Medicine in Bucharest, Romania, in 1998. Dr. Oprea completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Norwalk Hospital and her residency in Anesthesiology at Yale New Haven Hospital. Additionally, she frequently lectures on topics related to preoperative optimization, specifically pertaining to patients with diabetes and those on oral anticoagulation. Dr. Oprea has contributed to the development of consensus statements regarding perioperative medication management for diabetic patients and has authored numerous publications in Perioperative Medicine. She is also an Associate Editor for the Journal of Clinical Anesthesia, specifically focusing on Perioperative Medicine.
