Before choosing a career in physics and astronomy teaching, Adriane Steinacker worked at NASA Ames Research Center and published research in space physics, planet formation, and magnetohydrodynamics of accretion disks. She has taught a wide variety of undergraduate courses at different levels, including History of Astronomy, Astrobiology, and Solar System Dynamics. Currently, she teaches Yale's Physics 180/181 sequence and has also taught a course on Scientific Communication for Physicists.
