Generate a tailored SOP for Dr. Agamemnon Grigoriadis. Improve your application with a focused, well-structured draft.
Professor Grigoriadis is a cell biologist focused on bone and cartilage tissues formed during embryonic development and post-natal remodeling of the skeleton. His research investigates the deregulated molecular mechanisms that drive metabolic bone diseases, particularly skeletal cancers. He obtained his PhD at the University of Toronto, where he identified novel multipotent skeletogenic mesenchymal stem cell populations. After receiving an MRC Canada Fellowship for postdoctoral work at IMP Vienna, he established transgenic models that elucidate bone cancer and metabolic bone diseases. His current group at King's College London employs pluripotent stem cell-based approaches to understand bone and cartilage lineage commitment, generating defined populations for stem cell-based therapy in bone and cartilage disorders. They aim to identify signaling pathways and novel therapeutic targets involved in osteosarcoma growth and metastasis using in vivo models. His impactful research output includes contributions to multiple peer-reviewed journals.
Requirements are consistent across King's Business School and Social Science & Public Policy departments for standard Master's entries.
