Biography

Agata Daszko is an Early Career Fellow at the Edinburgh Law School, focusing on International Economic Law. She completed her LL.M. in Public International Law at Leiden University and holds a BA in Law with a specialization in German Law from the University of Nottingham. Her research interests include investor-State dispute settlement (ISDS) and the interlinkages between international investment law and public international law, with specific emphasis on investment arbitration and State contracts. Before her current role, Agata was a Research Fellow at the University of Göttingen, where she worked on her PhD thesis related to environmental impact assessments in international investment law arbitration. She has also held visiting researcher positions at the University of Bologna and Kyoto University. Beyond her teaching and research responsibilities, Agata serves as an Academic Assistant at the Society of International Economic Law and is the Assistant General Editor for the Commentaries on World Trade Law published by Brill. She previously worked as a consultant at the OECD's Trade and Agriculture Directorate and as an international arbitration clerk at Arnold & Porter.
