Biography

Agostino received his PhD in Chemistry with a focus on Pharmaceutical Technology from the University of Florence in 2011. He is a medicinal chemist with a strong background in imaging and analytical chemistry. In 2016, he joined King’s College London, where he has contributed to various departments including Imaging Chemistry & Biology and Analytical, Environmental & Forensic Sciences. He has worked as a senior research scientist at Theragnostics Ltd and has previously held positions at prestigious institutions such as the University of Florence, University of Cambridge, and Imperial College London. Since 2019, Agostino has been leading the Medicinal Imaging-Chemistry lab at the Institute of Pharmaceutical Science at KCL. His research group focuses on the synthesis of heterocycles and metal complexes, as well as the development of chemical analysis techniques and bioimaging methods for the medical field. His research interests include Medicinal Imaging Chemistry, Synthesis, Metals Bio-Medicine and Drug Discovery.
