Biography

Ahmad Al-Dabbagh is an Assistant Professor in the School of Engineering at The University of British Columbia. He holds a PhD in Control Systems from the University of Alberta. His research focuses on the design of resilient automation control systems, addressing fault diagnosis, cybersecurity, and alarm management. Al-Dabbagh has held postdoctoral fellowships at Imperial College London, the University of Toronto, and the University of Alberta. He has received numerous competitive awards and scholarships, including the NSERC Postdoctoral Fellowship and the NSERC Canada Graduate Scholarship. Currently, he serves as an Associate Editor for the IEEE Control Systems Society Conference Editorial Board and is a licensed Professional Engineer in British Columbia and Ontario.
